Clint Badlam - (Apprentice) Instructor KMWW
Clint 38 is currently mid way through his Instructor certification with Krav Maga Worldwide under the direction of Thierry Viatour and Larissa Berardi-Viatour (completion Feb 2010).
Before the move to KMWW he was awarded Practitioner Level 5 by Eyal Yanilov after 2 years of intensive training with the International Krav Maga Federation with Krav Maga Training Centre instructor Paul Grey.
Clint is a dedicated Krav Maga student first and foremost and continues his drive in developing his own skill base as well as now beginning to impart his knowledge to fellow students.
Trained with some of the top names in Krav Maga & Martial Arts including Thierry Viatour, Larissa Berardi-Viatour, Eyal Yanilov, Amnon Darsa & Tamir Gilad.
Clint holds the position of Health & Safety Security Officer within his current workplace and a Level 1 Certificate in Health & Safety at Work (British Safety Council).
Qualified to conduct Risk Assessments and also holds a 3year First Aid Qualification from the British Red Cross (2009-2012)
Clint has worked as a Team Leader in various roles from the Construction Industry as part of a Technical Industrial Abseiling Team through to a Team Manager within the Insurance/Finance sector. He spent some of his formative years as a Driver in the Royal Corps of Transport (now RLC), has years of experience across many outdoor pursuits such as Snowboarding, Surfing, Parachuting & Climbing to name but a few.
Having been at the sharp end of today's sometimes-volatile society I have personally witnessed first hand, the aftermath of the unprepared, untrained and unwise during such encounters.
In such a short period of time Krav Maga has given me the skill set to either identify issues before they escalate, avoid and/or act appropriately so, at the end of the day, I can return home safely to my family.
I cannot emphasise enough about the fact that ‘simplicity reigns’ within the Krav Maga system and whether you realise it, or not? We all have those basic movements and reflexes that Krav Maga is borne from.
We need the right environment to be shown how, in a short period of time we can become 300% more effective in avoiding conflict or if needs must defend ourselves appropriately in dire situations.
It is this alone that has continued to capture my passion and continued engagement in Krav Maga and now develop as an Instructor to ‘pay forward’ what I have learnt as one of the most valuable life skills personally for me, to date.
